CNP Pro-Omega

Pro-Omega is the result of a joint project between CNP's research department and the world's leading experts in lipid technology. This major breakthrough is the first and only EFA product specifically tailored to address the health issues of the hard training athlete, with a lifestyle of intense, joint-pounding exercise and a high protein intake of primarily animal origin. Contains:
EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexanoic acid) are polyunsaturated fats containing omega 3 and are found primarily in oily cold-water fish such as tuna, salmon, and mackerel.

ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) a polyunsaturated fat classed as an omega 3 is found primarily in dark green leafy vegetables, flaxseed oils, and certain vegetable oils.

Omega-3s have shown to improve heart health, reduce hypertension, aid cardiovascular health, reduce stress, maintain healthy joints and help moods.

GLA (gamma linoleic acid) is a polyunsaturated fat classed as an Omega-6, found in cereals, eggs, poultry, most vegetable oils, whole-grain breads, baked goods, and margarine. GLA helps regulate inflammation of joints, blood pressure as well as heart, gastrointestinal, and kidney functions.

LA (Linoleic Acid) is a polyunsaturated fat classed as an Omega-6 found in vegetable oils and margarine.

Plant Sterols are naturally occurring substances found in plants and wood pulp believed to reduce LDH (Bad Cholesterol). Plant Sterols are similar in structure to cholesterol but are not made by the human body. It is believed that they work by reducing cholesterol absorption from the gut.

Pro-Omega contains twice the amount of Cholesterol lowering agents than those found in margarines or yoghurt and without the harmful trans fatty acid content.
